10 Fruity Party Food Ideas for Kids

There are many clever tricks to ensure the children at your party dive straight into some fruit as well as the many inviting sweet treats on offer. Colour is key. The brilliant thing about fruit – it comes in all the colours of the rainbow, so by simply mixing them together you have a beautifully bright table display!!

Pineapple Fruit Bowl

Pineapples make a great centrepiece for a party table. Halve the pineapple and carve out the fruit inside and dice up. Then split the pineapple between the two halves plus any other bright tasty fruit you have, and voila! A fruit centrepiece! As an extra treat, you could always add a bowl of melted chocolate one the side to create a fondue.

Water Melon Pizza

Water Melon is fresh sliced melon topped with cream cheese and a bright and colourful selection of fresh fruit. This makes it a healthy desert pizza!

Caterpillar Fruit Kebabs

The Caterpillar fruit kebabs are so simple, but every child will be reaching for one. You can purchase the white sugar eyes in many cake decorating sections and attach with a little icing– this idea would work perfectly if holding a “Very Hungry Caterpillar” themed event.

The "Easter Bunny" Fruit Display

Pineapple is used again here to create “The Easter Bunny”. Slices of pineapple are used to create the body and ears, blueberries for the face, and plenty of grapes, strawberries and blueberries surround the bunny creating a WOW at any children’s’ party table.

Calling all princesses and fairies – these fruit sparklers would make fabulous edible wands. Blueberries threaded onto stewers with a piece of watermelon or melon cut using a star cutter to finish it off is all you will need to delight your guests.

Chocolate Dipped, Fruit Filled Waffle Cones

These are a very quick treat which can be prepared on the day. These make a different way to serve up individual portions of fruit, in a chocolate edible cone. Add a pot of Greek yogurt for an extra tasty dipping option.

These are a real treat! Frozen bananas are dipped in melted chocolate and sprinkled with a variety of toppings from nuts, to shredded coconut to dried fruit. Such a sweet summertime dessert.
